BARDANA

Arctirelieve provides liver protection through its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is also an excellent ally in addressing skin issues and promotes toxin elimination.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

The protective action of Burdock against inflammatory liver diseases is primarily explained by the direct connection between its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. Among the active ingredients of interest in the Burdock phytocomplex are flavonoids such as quercetin, apigenin, and kaempferol, lignans including arctigenin and its glycoside arctin, and polysaccharides. The synergistic action of these molecules allows for a broad-spectrum approach to hepatic issues. The antioxidant properties of flavonoids and lignans help to limit oxidative damage typical of inflammation, also enhancing the activity of antioxidant enzymes and molecules like superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione (GSH). Therefore, the hepatoprotective action of Burdock can be explained by the close relationship between its radical scavenging activity and its protection against oxidative stress damage, alongside its regulation of pro- and anti-inflammatory mediators. Finally, as long recognized in traditional medicine, proper liver function improves skin health by resolving inflammatory conditions and promoting toxin elimination.
